Football Sunday, February 3

RBC is hosting a Football Sunday community outreach event in the ROC on Sunday, February 3 at 6pm!

Invite a friend or neighbor and come watch the big game — shown on multiple screens — with a special halftime video testimony. There will be a hot dog bar with 25+ toppings provided. Bring your favorite football dish and a 2 liter of soda to share, and a tailgate chair/blanket. This is a kid-friendly event with space for the kids to play and a moon bounce. Service Opportunity for Prime Time Senior Ministry

Prime Timers, your help is needed in the Upwards program!  Jennifer Owens, who leads the concessions team, has asked for assistance from seniors who can volunteer to serve in this area.  You need not make a lengthy commitment.  Any time that you can provide help is deeply appreciated.

Immediate needs:

  • One volunteer is  needed on January 12 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
  • One volunteer is needed on January 19 from 8:00am to 11:00am.
  • Two volunteers are needed on January 19 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Even if you’re not available to serve at those times, perhaps you could help us do a little recruiting and get the word out about this ministry. Even if someone can work only one shift on one day, that’s a huge help; it’s not necessary to make a season-long commitment.

If you are available and willing to help in this way, feel free to contact Jennifer Owens at (Karilon64 at verizon dot net), Marilyn Jordan at (mjjord at verizon dot net), or the church office.

Happy New Year Prime Timers!

Happy New Year!!  The Winter Wonderland Christmas Party was a huge success.  Thank you so much for participating in the event. The super turnout encourages us to plan more activities for you.  The ROC was beautifully decorated to enhance the winter wonderland theme, so a big thank you to committee members who did the decorating and also for preparing the food.  Prime Timers were tasked with rounding out the menu by bringing their favorite dessert and did they deliver!  The desserts covered two tables and boy, were they good!  If you see Cheryl Burba, please thank her for all she did to help us pull everything together for this event.
